Delica beads, faceted Brecciated Jasper rondelles, Moukaite, and Aventurine.<br /><br />Many of the beads used in this 3-strand bracelet I had bought from a vendor at a bead show more than a year ago who was from Afghanistan. He had some of the most gorgeous Lapis, but also some material of other stones in shapes I&#39;d never seen before. <br /><br />The brown (what is referred to as Blonde Onyx) came in alternating slender tubes, tiny rondelles, and flat round disks drilled through very thin pieces! The man told me all the strands were hand-made by the Afghani people. <br /><br />He also had all kinds of unusual natural jade that came in shades of green more like Peridot than what one usually sees. I&#39;m not sure if it&#39;s in the category of Jadeite or Nephrite, but I find it much prettier than the Chinese material the industry is saturated with. This piece was one of those that just sort of evolved into what it was meant to be.<br /><br />It reminds me of an aggregate of cells linked or bunched together. There is much beauty even in microscopic forms that most people give very little thought to. Patterns emerge that are imperfect and perfect at the same time. I find the irony fascinating.<br /><br />Generally I don&#39;t like asymmetry, but it seems that in nature it works and maintains a sense of balance.<br /><br />With this piece I used an odd number of felted domes and the challenge was to create a design that achieved balance in a type of randomness.<br /><br />I imagined the parts floating in water as if they were floating down a stream, conceptualizing how they would flow together. That was how I came upon the shape and order of the larger clusters and the smaller ones in-between.<br /><br />Scalloped edges follow the outline of the clustered parts running down the center and are edged in metallic blue seedbeads to give the bracelet a refined look.<br /><br />Combined in this piece are Coopworth wool domes, ultrasuede, and beadweaving/embroidery and sewing in a unique and substantial cuff bracelet. &quot;Stiff Stuff&quot; in between the pieces of ultrasuede is used for extra durability and thickness.<br /><br />The beads used are genuine Turquoise, red Coral, bone, Amazonite, lampwork, seedbeads, and a ceramic triangle bead as a toggle.<br /><br />the copper-colored wool creates a rich contrast against the deep teal.<br /><br />It is approximately 2&quot; wide and 1.5mm thick.<br /><br />This freeform bracelet fits a 6-6 1/2&quot; wrist comfortably with a loop that stretches over the triangular bead on the other end.<br /><br />***Shipping to US locations will include insurance.***<br /><br />International shipping methods may vary depending on what is available in your country.<br /><br />Please let me know if you&#39;d like it gift-wrapped.
