On my forest ramble, I saw a gentle face gazing back at me through the autumn leaves. <br /><br />To capture the elusive nature of that Forest Spirit, I added a rustic stylized face to a pendant of Joe&#39;s carved hardwood flower and leaves. Including the beaded copper bail, the pendant is about 2-7/8&quot; long.  <br /><br />My handmade copper chain is beaded with more of Joe&#39;s natural wood carvings and some pretty reddish brown beads I rescued from a mid-20th century necklace. He&#39;s equipped with his own rustic pull cord and natural wood toggle.<br /><br />He&#39;s 8-3/4&quot; tall and 7/8&quot; wide and is mounted on a bark-on split birch branch, which is 11-1/2&quot; x 1-1/2&quot;. He stained her a rich warm tone to contrast with the cherry inlay top and bottom of the pine frame.<br /><br />This busy box measures 6&quot; x 6&quot; x 2-1/2&quot; and has brass hinges and my handformed copper swirl &quot;lifter&quot; tab.
