The front cover features sweet, Art Nouveau flowering trees in dark greens and reds on a lighter green background. <br /><br />This is a sewn-over-tapes journal, which means it is sturdy, but will lay when open. I used printed Japanese paper for the edging on the boards and sturdy green suede for the two tapes. Since the book is smaller, I made the tapes wider for stability and strength. The book is sewn with ivory, waxed linen thread and the creamy pages have a slight texture, and are hand torn to blend with the aged book covers. The texture on the page edges has been highlighted with gold ink. The boards are lined with pages of the original text. <br /><br />The book is a great size.It measures 7.5in x 4.75in, and is about .5 of an inch thick. The woven-textured pages are 65lb acid-free paper, and there are 66 pages total in the book.  <br /><br />I began doing these for myself, and loved doing them so much that I decided to offer them in my shop for other journalers out there.
